Every Child Deserves an Outdoor Classroom
Friends of Five Rivers is the nonprofit heart behind Five Rivers Environmental Education Center — 450 acres of forests, fields, and wetlands right here in our backyard. As FFR approaches its 55th anniversary, the mission is stronger than ever: getting kids outside and into nature. Through the Guided School Program, trained volunteer instructors lead students from Pre-K through high school into the field for hands-on, science-based lessons where ponds become laboratories and trails become textbooks.

This program is not state-funded. It runs on the generosity of people like you.
Our goal this evening is Simple: raising the wonder to support 500 kids to explore, learn, and discover the outdoors.
