Please join the Town of Bethlehem, the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware Avenue Improvement Group in celebrating construction completion of the Delaware Avenue Streetscape Enhancement.
This project will reinvigorate Bethlehem’s traditional main street, provide improved and safer travel and access to town businesses, and make our wonderful town center glow even more brightly. The $3.1 million project has given us new sidewalks, crosswalks, curbing, on-street parking ”bump-outs,” street trees, landscaping and decorative streetlights, below ground infrastructure and a completely repaved street. The completion of major construction for this long-awaited public improvement reflects the culmination of planning that goes back at least a decade. The conclusion of construction is a happy event also because construction always poses inconveniences for motorists and challenges for businesses. Construction has concluded successfully, and we are thankful to everyone, especially the local businesses. The long term benefits include economic revitalization, civic improvement and enhanced safety for everyone, whether driving (and parking), walking, cycling or riding CDTA.
