Event Description:
Glenmont Job Corps Center will celebrate the opening of their newly completed female dormitory with a ribbon cutting as well as a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the official signing of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 that established the Job Corps program.
Ribbon cutting, reception and tours will be offered. Tours will include the new female and male dorm and renovated recreation center, part of the final phases of a multi-year construction project. In addition, cake and refreshments will be served after the ribbon cutting in observance of Job Corps’ 50th Anniversary of the official signing of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 that established the Job Corps program.
