Why? "Because, basically, February stinks", said Michael Burns, Mopco director. "We wanted to offer a different kind of date, to do our part to help people stave off the winter blahs". Burns added, "People like to eat, people like to laugh, people like to drink beer. So, hey let's help them do that! We rehearse across the street, and often unwind at the Centre Street Pub. It's a warm, casual, fun place, with good food-the kind of place we love to perform in!" Mopco will perform several of their favorite, tried-and-true formats, as well as unveil a new format that may be eerily familiar to some boomers. New Format - A three hour tour- Imagine: A small group of quirky characters including a captain, first mate, rich couple, an academic, (who is so smart he can make a radio out of coconut shells, but can't fix a boat) a movie star, and a girl-next door type set out on a boat that breaks in a storm. They all end up stranded on this desert isle. Mopco is tentatively calling this format "Castaways".
