I teach my acting students that everything in life comes down to two things: systems and behavior.
There is always a system at play and we behave in response to it (whether we realize it or not).
For my acting students, once they objectively determine the system that makes up the world of the play, they can then behave accordingly. This is how actors TAKE ACTION on their impulses.
This is no different from everyday life.
I call it the “Get Real System.”
