After Halloween, compost your left-over pumpkins and gourds.
You may be done with your Halloween Jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins and gourds on Oct. 31, but the earth isn't. The only thing spookier than these decorations on Halloween night is the methane (a powerful greenhouse gas) they would produce if landfilled.
How far will your pumpkin fly with our giant catapult? (Please remove all candles, etc. in advance. Only accepting natural pumpkins and gourds.
Have fun, drink cider, and take a family selfie while smashing "Jack" back to the earth to help us make some compost. That compost can help grown more pumpkins next year.
