Compensation Range: $42,000 - $45,000 (Commensurate with experience)

Primary Responsibilities
Communications (40%)
- Manage all internal and external communications, including weekly newsletters, press releases, email marketing, and member announcements.
- Oversee social media strategy, content creation, and daily engagement across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Maintain and update the Chamber website, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of events, news, and resources.
- Develop marketing materials and media kits using basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Welcome members and potential members in the office.
- Plan, promote, and execute Chamber events (e.g., ribbon cuttings, business expos, networking mixers, annual awards).
- Coordinate logistics, vendors, communications, and on-site support for events.
- Support the development of new programs focused on small business growth, workforce development, and community engagement.
- Track event performance and member feedback for continuous improvement.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Chamber members and prospective members.
- Assist with onboarding new members, gathering information, and connecting them to resources.
- Identify opportunities to improve member experience and engagement through surveys, meetings, and regular follow-up.
- Receive and record member payments.
- Assist the Chamber Team with tracking KPIs and generating board reports.
- Contribute to strategic planning discussions and special initiatives (e.g., DEI, local business campaigns).
- Help maintain an organized database (CRM) and filing system for member records, correspondence, and project tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in communications, event coordination, or nonprofit/business support roles.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms, Microsoft Office, Canva (or similar), Constant Contact (or similar), and basic CRM and CMS systems.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
- Ownership of a car and the ability to attend an occasional early morning, evening, or weekend event.
- Familiarity with the Bethlehem, NY, community and businesses.
- Experience with nonprofit organizations, chambers of commerce, or business associations.
- Basic design/video editing skills or willingness to learn.
