Regional Brokerage Refurbishes Delmar Building

Delmar, NY, March 20, 2017 – Marie Bettini, broker-owner of Albany Realty Group, regularly helps business owners, families and individuals find the right space to call home. One recent transaction was a little different in that she was seeking out new offices for her own real estate agency. After maintaining offices in Colonie for six years, Bettini was looking for the same checklist of things many of her clients are seeking: more space, a better commute, a building with lots of potential.

Bettini and her team found what they were looking for at 203 Delaware Avenue in Delmar, and after spending the past few months renovating, they held a grand opening party and ribbon-cutting on March 16.

Bettini, who just finished a year serving as president of the 3,000+ member Greater Capital Association of Realtors, said that the new offices were located to be convenient for clients and the firm’s growing staff.

“We represent buyers and sellers throughout the Capital Region and people are often looking fairly widely within the area. Delmar is a vibrant community and our new location provides a good home base,” Bettini said.

At approximately 2200-square-feet, the new Delaware Avenue space is double the size of the firm’s prior offices, comfortably accommodating the agency’s new agents. Founded in 2003, Albany Realty Group has for the last several years been largely a family enterprise. Bettini works alongside her daughter, Jennifer Bettini-Bergeron, and son-in-law, Patrick Bergeron. This winter the firm added two veteran Capital Region agents, Sandy Evans and Paula Rice, and just this month, Don Moore joined the firm.

“Paula, Sandy and Don came to Albany Realty Group with strong track records, and a combined 51 years of experience in serving Capital Region buyers and sellers. They share my focus on client service and exceeding expectations,” Bettini said.

Now is a good time to expand staff and invest in new offices, Bettini said, because she expects the regional real estate market to stay strong throughout 2017. The market is seeing a lot of pent-up demand with buyers ready to make their next move, buying their first home, trading up or even downsizing. Mortgage rates, currently, remain at historically low levels, but house hunters are hampered by low inventory as new construction has not picked up as quickly as demand.

As a local independent residential and commercial real estate company, Albany Realty Group is committed not only to its clients, but to the Capital Region community overall. Since 2014, the company has made a donation to the Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless, an Albany-based housing nonprofit for each successful home sale or purchase. In 2016, Albany Realty Group donated $1,200 to support efforts toward ensuring everyone in our community has a safe place to live.
