Community Banks Unite to Get Funds to Cohoes Fire Victims

ALBANY, NY — January 11, 2018  — Community financial institutions, CAP COM Federal Credit Union, Pioneer Bank and KeyBank are uniting in an effort to distribute funds to Cohoes fire victims through Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany.
 
More than $104,000 in funds will be turned over to Catholic Charities on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cohoes Mayor’s Office. Catholic Charities is full equipped with the process and information needed in order to get the 35+ families affected by the fires funding needed to begin the recovery process.
 
CAP COM President/CEO Paula A. Stopera stated, “This is a prime example of the community coming together for the greater good. We at CAP COM, along with KeyBank, Pioneer Bank, The American Red Cross, The Cohoes Community Center and the Cohoes Mayor are proud to support Cohoes and help these victims get back on their feet.”
