The Board of Directors of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen McGuinness as the new Bethlehem Chamber President. Ms. McGuinness’ appointment takes effect on November 5th, 2018.
“We are very excited that Maureen has accepted the position as President of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce,” said Shoham Piorentino, Chairperson of the Board of Directors. “Her experience and knowledge of the Town of Bethlehem and the surrounding area makes her the right individual to lead the Bethlehem Chamber. With more than 400 business members, we are committed to ensuring that the Chamber continues to be their trusted partner and voice in ways that help their business to grow and be successful,” Piorentino added.
Ms. McGuinness said she is looking forward to working with the Bethlehem Chamber. “It’s an exciting time for the Bethlehem Chamber,” Ms. McGuinness said. “Having recently celebrated its 60th Anniversary, the Chamber has a rich history that is the springboard for future growth!”
Most recently, Ms. McGuinness served as the Economic Advancement and Member Relations Manager at the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce. In this position, she held responsibility for overseeing the Chamber’s Workforce and Economic Development efforts and assisted Chamber members with sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Ms. McGuinness also served as the Membership Manager to recruit new members and to oversee membership retention.
Previously, Ms. McGuinness worked for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany in a variety of fundraising, public relations and management positions. A graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, she began her career as a Reporter.
