Solarize Albany Deadline Extension

Solarize Albany has extended their deadline for special, discounted, pricing. The Solarize Albany group discount offer will remain available to those who have signed up for a Site Visit by January 1st, 2018. Now is the time to see what your solar options are, as National Grid has proposed electricity rate hikes over the next year.
In August 2017, Governor Cuomo announced that the second round of Solarize Campaigns resulted in 850 projects across the state. Solarize Albany is looking to increase this number during the campaign’s final push. As an added bonus to already great solar incentives, Solarize Albany will give 10 free LED light bulbs to homeowners who sign up and move forward with a solar installation.
Solarize Albany is a not-for-profit volunteer group that promotes renewable energy and offers information about carefully vetted solar installers (Hudson Solar, Apex Solar, High Peaks Solar). Anyone who lives in the greater Capital Region can get free estimates from one or all of the selected installers. Solarize Albany provides a bulk discount program which helps the customer get the lowest cost per installed watt for high-quality solar panels. Solarize Albany has already helped many households install solar panels on their homes or in their yards, while helping many other join locally-based community solar projects when rooftop solar was not feasible.
